Re: Amendments to the Lands Regulation

 

The Council of Kwanlin Dün First Nation is considering a change to the KDFN Lands Regulation. We are sending this notification because the Governance Act says all citizens must be told about any proposed changes to legislation.

The proposed Regulation to Amend the Lands Regulations (the Bill) is needed to resolve conflicts between the Lands Regulations and commercial leasing requirements.

The text of the bill is on the reverse of this letter. The full Lands Regulations are online at www.kwanlindun.com/laws-and-citizenship/laws-and-policies/. Second reading of the bill will occur at the Council meeting March 4, 2021, 9:30am -4:30pm. Council meetings are open to the public.
