Community Services is changing how chimney cleaning appointments are booked until further notice

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, Community Services is changing how chimney cleaning appointments are booked until further notice.

If you are a tenant of a KDFN home and your chimney needs to be cleaned, please book an appointment by calling (867) 633-7833 ext 401.

Please be advised:

1. You will need to put your fire out completely (Not smouldering) for staff safety. If it is not put out, staff will not clean the chimney.

2. Don’t put out fires with water. Instead, keep a bucket of baking soda next to your wood stove.

3. Pets will need to be tucked away.

Update: Tenants will not be required to leave their house when Community Services are cleaning chimneys, but will still need to maintain physical distancing.
