KDFN is asking Citizens and Beneficiaries not to harvest Chinook salmon in the Yukon River or its tributaries this season
The situation is critical. So far, salmon numbers are the lowest on record.
As of July 13, 2022, the Pilot Station Sonar count from Alaska was 41,272.
Last year, the count to July 13 was 118,428.
The average historical count to the same date is 162,675.
