Notice of Work: Stabilizing the Marsh Lake shoreline to protect KDFN spirit houses and gravesites

This week, KDFN Community Services will begin stabilizing the Marsh Lake shoreline at the KDFN graveyard.

This work must be done immediately to protect the spirit houses and gravesites from ongoing erosion and water saturation.

KDFN crews will be placing riprap – rocks and rubble – along the bank. This is an emergency preventative measure that’s needed to stop or slow erosion and avoid damage to sites important to KDFN.

We estimate this stabilization work will take two to three weeks.
