Mandate

The Human Resources Unit supports the Kwanlin Dün First Nation with the recruitment of approved positions.

The Unit assists with:

  • writing job descriptions and classification activities;
  • staff training and development initiatives;
  • employee retention and succession;
  • citizen training and development (i.e. student work initiatives);
  • corporate occupational health and safety; and
  • implementing the Personnel Policy within the Kwanlin Dün First Nation government.

Human Resources staff work to ensure consistent and fair application of a variety of legislation, policies and processes related to employment across the KDFN government, ensuring that everyone is treated equally, consistently and fairly.

The Kwanlin Dün First Nation government does many different things. Working for KDFN is a good way to help the community while earning competitive pay with excellent benefits.

Pursuant to KDFN Policy, preference will be given to qualified Kwanlin Dün citizens and immediate family members who self-identify in their application.

All qualified and interested individuals are encouraged to apply. 

Applicants must be legally entitled to live and work in Canada. KDFN does not currently sponsor candidates.

Those with professional designations must be in good standing with their affiliated association and hold a current membership in Yukon or another Canadian province or territory.
