Kwanlin Dün First Nation keeps an up-to-date list of all citizens and beneficiaries so we can keep in touch about important community events, such as elections, consultations and gatherings.

Call 867-633-7800 ext. 131 to speak with the Registrar to:

  • confirm your citizenship; or
  • update your contact information.

There are two different categories of membership, citizens and beneficiaries, in the Kwanlin Dün First Nation. The rules for who can be a citizen are written in Chapter 2 of the Constitution, and criteria for who is eligible to be a beneficiary are written in Chapter 3 of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation Final Agreement.

In accordance with subsection 6(2), Chapter Two, Citizenship, of the Constitution of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation, each citizen is

  • equally entitled to the rights, privileges and benefits of Citizenship, as set out in this Constitution, and
  • equally subject to the duties and responsibilities of Citizenship.

The rights of beneficiaries are set out in Chapter Three, Rights of Beneficiaries, Constitution of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation.
