Public Comment on Lands Applications

All land applications made to Kwanlin Dün First Nation are open to public input. Any feedback on an application must be received by 5 p.m. on the date set for closure of public input.

Please submit all feedback to Lands@kdfn.net.

Feedback should include:

  • the application number you’re submitting a comment on;
  • a clear and detailed description of your concerns or issues with the land application;
  • a copy of supporting documents, if any; as well as
  • your name, permanent mailing address, including postal code, as well as your email and phone number.

Application Summary: Applicant has applied for a land use authorization on KDFN settlement lands C-38B, C-104B, C-113B, and C-116B R-8A in and around the Whitehorse area. The proposed plans are to set up game cameras to conduct research on wildlife behaviour in areas of fire smarting.

The proposed plans are to set up a temporary healing camp consisting of wall tents. The area will be accessed using the existing road and is proposed within an existing clearing.

Application Summary: Applicant has applied for a land use authorization on KDFN settlement lands R-40A off the Fish Lake Road. The proposed plans are to move an existing house from an adjacent lot, as well as build another similar residence, extending the existing access that goes into the parcel.
